Monday Morning Playlist

New year, new week, new playlist. Below, you can find my Slow Monday Morning playlist that I have created on Spotify.

Lately, I have noticed that I can concentrate more on repetitive tasks and emails, if I listen to ‘slower’ music, on a lower volume setting. The music then acts as a background sound, rather than being an active part.

Good morning to my upstairs neighbor and to the kids at 42.. Anyone who lent me a favor..”

Good Morning by Bleachers

This is my favorite ‘wake up’ song. It is very soothing but also fun t listen to and although it is slow, it doesn’t make you fall asleep. It also provides the perfect atmosphere to sip your morning coffee. It is a staple in my Monday Morning Playlist.

“Just a small town girl, Livin’ in a lonely world..”

Don’t Stop Belivin’ by Journey

I think that the only person that likes this song more than me is Mr. Schuester in Glee. If you can listen to this song, without starting to sing along, then you definitely have more self-control than I do. When I say that I am singing along, I am not saying that it sounds good. It was also included in the series finale of The Soparnos as well as in Scrubs and many others.

“How’s one to know? I’d meet you where the spirit meets the bones. In a faith forgotten land. In from the snow. Your touch brought forth an incandescent glow. Tarnished but so grand…”

Ivy by Taylor Swift

Not only is this song called ‘Ivy’ but it is also pure poetry.

“To the gypsy… That remains… Her face says freedom… With a little fear.”

Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac

Speaking of poetry.. Stevie Nicks everyone.

“Come on Superman, say your stupid line”

The Less I Know The Better by Tame Impala

If you have never listened to ‘The Less I Know The Better” 10-hour loop on YouTube, you definitely should, because a) it’s an amazing song, b) you won’t notice the time flying by and c) the bass. You know that I am right 😀
